Delete your Growney account
Growney by Yevhenii Dryha
You can delete your account at any time. Here is how, and what happens to your data.
In the app
- Open Growney and sign in.
- Open Settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
If you own a family that other grown-ups also use, first transfer ownership to one of them. The app will remind you.
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the App Store or Google Play.
Without the app
Write to support@growney.app from the email address of your Growney account, with the subject “Delete my account”. If you sign in with Apple or Google, tell us which one. We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours. We will delete the account within 30 days and confirm by email.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in account, your profile and your devices' notification tokens.
- Your membership in every family.
- If you are the only grown-up in a family, the whole family: children's profiles, tasks, bonuses, fines, goals, balances, history, pictures and photos. Children's linked devices lose access.
- If other grown-ups remain in the family, the family stays with them, including the entries you added to its history.
What we keep, and for how long
- Database backups: up to 7 days, then they are overwritten.
- Server logs: up to 30 days.
- Emails you exchanged with our support: up to 2 years, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Subscription purchase records are kept by Apple or Google under their own policies, and by our subscription provider, RevenueCat, for as long as accounting and store rules require.
Delete only some data
- A child's profile: open the child's profile, tap Delete profile and confirm. The child's balance, tasks, history and photos are deleted.
- A child's device: in the child's profile, open the devices and tap Unlink.
- Tasks, bonuses, fines and goals: open one and delete it.
- Photos confirming tasks are deleted automatically 30 days after upload.
